Cute Community Radio is a hybrid space and radio station based in Bochum, dedicated to centering and celebrating migrant and diasporic club and pop culture.

Since its launch by Guy Dermosessian in 2023, the station and its physical space have served as a vital platform for the cultural practices of diasporic artists, researchers, and cultural workers. At its core, the project is committed to nurturing the next generation of talent and dismantling barriers to entry for marginalized communities within the pop and electronic music landscape.

With a catalog of over 300 radio shows, a global listener base, and a vibrant digital archive, Cute Community Radio has firmly established itself as a central fixture in both the regional and international music scenes. This work was recognized in 2024 and 2025 with two consecutive APPLAUS Awards for “Best Small Venue and Concert Series.” Furthermore, in 2025, Guy Dermosessian was honored with the inaugural Kemnader Cultural Prize for his contributions through the project.

Over the past three years, Cute Community Radio has collaborated with prestigious institutions across art, culture, and academia, including the Ruhrtriennale, Feel.Jazz Hamburg, Schauspielhaus Bochum, PACT Zollverein, Kunstmuseum Bochum, Ruhr University Bochum, and Goldsmiths University of London.
