Bababoom Hi Fi is a sound system and record label based in Naples, Southern Italy. Emerging from the city’s rich underground scene, since 2004 they have been playing their own custom-built analog sound system in festivals, clubs, community centers, squats, streets, beaches and parks all over Italy, as well as DJing in Europe and beyond. 

As a record label they have released 10 vinyl records featuring prominent artists such as Willi Williams, Johnny Clarke, Earl Sixteen, UK Principal, Jah Mason, and others – with many more in the pipeline. 

Bababoom Hi Fi plays positive reggae music in a Roots Defender style, featuring plenty of exclusive dubplates and unreleased tunes from the studio, with mic duties carried by a rotating lineup of singers, MCs, and musicians from the extended family, including Jules I, Galas, Lion Warriah and Dub Harp.
